OBJECTIVES

  • Recognition and Reward: To motivate and celebrate academic excellence, RED aims to award the best-performing learners (those achieving 80% and above in all subjects) from Grade R to Grade 12 at the end of each quarter of the school calendar.
  • Academic Support: RED recognizes the challenges faced by rural school learners in subjects like Mathematics. To address this, the organization provides improvement classes and subject competitions, fostering a positive learning experience.
  • Holistic Development : In addition to academic pursuits, RED seeks to introduce extra-curricular fields such as computer literacy or computer science. This initiative aims to make rural school learners more creative and competitive with students from more advantaged schools.
  • Academic Excellence Competitions: As part of its commitment to fostering academic excellence, Rural Education Development (RED) has introduced dynamic subject competitions, with a particular emphasis on Mathematics and Natural Science. These competitions serve as a powerful motivational tool, encouraging learners in rural schools to focus on their studies and engage with these subjects in a meaningful way.
